The MATCH UP 8BMW MK2 is Audiotec Fischer’s Plug & Play "M package" upgrade amplifier for BMW HiFi sound systems: an 8-channel Class GD amp with an integrated 9-channel 64-bit DSP, installing at the factory amp location via the included connection cable and BMW-specific mounting plate. Audiotec Fischer specifies it for BMW E & F-series (and pre-facelift G30/G31) models with the HiFi sound system, option 676, without a RAM module.
It also carries a genuine optical S/PDIF input rated 12–96 kHz, which the standard 676 installation does not use. That input is what makes the amp reachable on a BMW whose factory audio runs on the digital MOST bus — fed by a MOST25-to-S/PDIF bridge such as the HELIX SDMI25.
