This is the correct data interface / swc + retention for a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe per the application guide, and it does what it's supposed to. The connector was tighter than expected and took some working to seat fully. Once in, everything up front worked as expected.

Added the AXDIS-GMLN29 alongside my dash kit and harness on the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe specifically to retain steering-wheel controls, and it does exactly that. Setup matched the application guide's wiring diagram without surprises. Worth the extra part if you don't want to lose factory buttons.

Fits my 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe as listed in the application guide. Retains the functions it says it will. Only note: double-check the nav vs. non-nav split before ordering — Metra lists two different part numbers for this exact truck.
